Welcome everyone to the 28th edition of ‘Hot Gat or Fudd Crap?’, one of our many series here on TFB. If you’re new to the series (and you’ve been missing out), this is where we look at the most obscure firearms that are actually for sale and ask the question – is this gat a sweet deal or only have fudd appeal? Each week the TFB staff weighs in with their thoughts, but readers get the final say in the poll at the bottom of each article.
In our last edition, our poll showed that you the readers, found the SKS bullpup more of a Bubba Disaster.
At this time the original auction has ended and the bullpup has not sold. The seller has re-listed the bullpup for the same $675, should you feel the need to give it a new home.
In this week’s edition of HGFC, we at a comic book themed custom MAC-11. As is tradition, this strangely converted blaster is currently up for sale on GunBroker for $799.99 Buy It Now.
HOT GAT or FUDD CRAP? Custom Mac-11: Devil Spawn or Hellish Abortion?
Let’s see what the Staff had to say about this week’s offering:
“Ironic that this gun is all chained up when it’s the guy that made it who should be” – James Reeves
“For those keyboard commandos who grew up in the 90s still living in their Mom’s basement.” – Nick C.
“”The ’90s called and they want their failed comic book weapon back.” – Adam S.
“Is the seller’s name Violator?” – Giorgio O.
“Some people should not be allowed to order any kind of paint jobs.” – Eric B.
“They’re really scraping the bottom of the barrel for Counter Strike skins these days…” – Rusty S.
Selling this comically themed gat is GunBroker seller Dakotabandit, located in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Let’s see what they had to say about this themed MAC.
This is a custom, one of a kind Spawn Themed Pistol. It is painted with cerakote and is very durable. Masterpiece Arms has done it again. In order to make post-1986 MAC-10’s and MAC-11’s a possibility, a key design change had to be made. These newer generation MAC’s would no longer fire from the open bolt and would fire closed bolt semi-auto only. I think the whole appeal of having say, an open bolt MAC, or maybe belt-fed machine gun, is that at the end of the day it’s the original machine gun.
When original firearms designs are altered you end up with clunky firearms that are terrible to shoot. Looking cool could not have been more expensive. I don’t see the point in getting a semi-auto MAC, but I love a full auto MAC. I guess if I gave up on my dream of owning a full auto MAC, and I was into some strange comic books, maybe this would be the gun for me.
What do you think? Is this Spawn themed MAC a Hot Gat or some terribly comical Fudd Crap? Be sure to let us know in the comments below, and cast your vote to let us know if this Spawn Themed Mac-11 is a Hot Gat or Fudd Crap:
