Franklin police officials responded the Mallory Lane Chick-fil-A on Friday night after an employee found a loaded firearm in a bathroom stall.

Police said the call came in at 9:30 p.m. after employees secured the weapon until law enforcement arrived. The owner of the gun later called police and said he forgot his firearm in the bathroom stall, police said.

No charges are filed.

“Parents are encouraged to talk with their children about the incident, instructing them to never touch a gun they find, to leave the area if they find one and take other children with them, and to immediately notify an adult,” FPD spokesperson Lt. Charles Warner said.
